We discuss logistics, the differences between the D23 Expos in Japan and the United States, some of the news from the Expo… and shopping! • Thanks for the hotel talk on this week’s show. The America’s Best VI&S seem to have price-jumped, so I’ll wait and check again later, but I couldn’t tell if you were poking fun at the Eden Roc as awful or as simply cheap but decent and would like to know (as I have a reservation there, it’s cancel-able in case I find something better closer to my trip in May). Thanks!

    • I don’t think anyone from the team has stayed at the Eden Roc in several years. Awhile back, Jeff had stayed there and found it to be lacking in comfort. I believe he even mentioned on the show, that he believed it had since been refurbished. I’m sure you already have, but checking the typical review sites (Trip Advisor, Yelp, etc) for recent reviews.

      • Hah, thanks for the reply. I actually chose the Eden Roc not just on price but it had better reviews (4 out of 5) than most on Orbitz. I just got worried when I heard the latest episode! Carpe Kingdom, folks!

        • And, 2 weeks before going, saw reviews of the Eden Roc saying the internet is bad there… that’s a deal breaker this trip… so I went through Hotwire and got a good deal on the Hotel Indigo so I won’t be able to upgrade you on the Eden Roc!
