Reservations for Star War’s: Galaxy’s Edge opens to the general public on May 2, 2019 at 10am Pacific Time. If the Force is not with you and you’re not one of the lucky individuals to have reservations to experience Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge during its opening days, you can still head into Disneyland Resort to celebrate the unofficial Star Wars day on Saturday, May 4, 2019.
In Tomorrowland, the popular Star Wars themed overlay Hyperspace Mountain returns to Space Mountain for a limited time. This is a fun, fast-paced ride that allows you to experience the thrill of zipping around with TIE fighters and X-wings. It’s an out of this world experience!
The Galactic Grill and Alien Pizza Planet will have many Star Wars inspired food items and beverages available for purchase. You may also catch a glimpse of Captain Phasma and her Stormtroopers during the March of the First Order. Photo opportunities are always a great way to interact with your favorite characters. Are you with the Resistance or the First Order? Choose, you must! For you will have an opportunity for a special photo op with members of the First Order or the Resistance in the Starcade, located next to the Star Trader store.
And of course, what would a May 4th celebration be without Star Wars themed souvenirs?! The Star Trader has lots of great merchandise and essentials for Jedi’s (or Siths) of every age. Build your own Lightsaber or, for the pin traders, check out the limited edition pins.
